On this page, you will find examples of different projects I have done over the years.

Photography

Through the years I have had the opportunity to photograph different people and events. From theatre performances, to graduation photos and get-togethers. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to continuing to photograph people and events. Below are just a few examples for the photographs I’ve taken.

Magazine and Media Design

Sophomore year of college I took a course that taught us how to layout and produce a magazine. During the course, we were tasked with creating 2 magazines. Both magazines had to be on a topic that we were knowledgeable on.

For my first project I chose to do my magazine on Mr. Rogers. I grew up watching Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood, and Joe Negri, who was a cast member, and my grandmother were first cousins. Because of this, I would always hear stories about Mr. Rogers as I was growing up.

When laying out the magazine, I reached out to Fred Rogers Productions requesting some images that I could use for the project. I also contacted Joe Negri to get some stories and images he may have to contribute.

I also spent time going through my own photos looking for Mr. Rogers related photos that my family and I have taken over the years. 2 photos I was excited to include were his star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and the 100 billionth Crayola Crayon that he poured in 1996.

For my second project I chose to do my magazine on World War 2. I have always been into history and have a great deal of knowledge on the war. In addition to that, my Grandfather served in the war which meant I had authentic WWII artifacts I could photograph and include in the spread.

While laying out the spread I contacted the National World War 2 Museum to acquire some photos for the project. After receiving photos from the museum, I went through all my WWII memorabilia as well as items that belonged to my grandfather to be included in the spread. I photographed different currency from the time, items that I purchased at the Pearl Harbor museum, as well as my grandfather’s Uniform, medals, war used flag from his ship, and several other items.

Freelance Projects

Family Eye Care West window graphic

In 2022, I was asked by Family Eye Care West to create a new design to replace a window decal which was peeling and falling off the building. The decal was printed and installed by Hands on Concepts Signs, Designs, & Vehicle Wraps in Greensburg. The below design is what I came up with.

Logos

I have had the opportunity to create logos for several local businesses and organizations. Here are a few examples.

Logo I created for local business Bailee The Barber

Logo I created for local organization The Greensburg College Club

Profile Picture graphic I created for the Hempfield Area Alumni Group Instagram

Shirts

Over the years I have created many t-shirt designs for different organizations. Some of these shirts were printed, but many stay only in the digital realm.

I created this design my Senior year after the sudden and unfortunate passing of one of the District’s beloved 4th grade teachers Mrs. Kathy Soisson. I was fortunate to have Mrs. Soisson when I was in 4th grade. Shortly after her passing, I was talking with Mrs. Audrey Dell, the elementary principal at the time, and she mentioned to me that the school was planning on having shirts made to honor her. I was beyond honored when Mrs. Dell asked me if I wanted to design them.

This shirt design was created for the 2021 Hempfield Theatre Company Fall Play production of Almost Maine. These shirts were printed using the sublimation process and were printed by a local company called Front Row Promotional Products.

This shirt design was created for the 2022 Hempfield Theatre Company production of Mamma Mia. The design includes the approved Musical logo with the Official School District Logo hidden inside the exclamation point.

Laser Engraving

Water Bottle

For Christmas 2022 I made my brother a personalized Duke water bottle as that is where he will be going to college. I designed the water bottle with his name in the Duke font above the Duke logo.

Laser Engraving Wood

During the 2020 COVID Lockdowns, I started recreating many different logos and graphics I enjoyed from different companies etc. I did this to keep me busy, and to allow me to continue to improve my Design skills. I had no plans for these designs, but when an opportunity came that allowed me to actually engrave and print these items, I jumped on it imediately. Below are just a few examples.

In the summer of 2020 I worked for Philips Respironics. I became close with several of my coworkers and at the end of the summer I used the laser engraver to crerate gifts for them.

The first image is all the items I created. They had to be reprinted as I used the wrong type of wood and the engraver wasn’t able to completely cut the whole way through.

Drone

One year for Christmas I received a drone. I couldn’t wait for the weather to be nice enough for me to use it for different projects I was working on. Since receiving my drone, I have utilized it in a wide variety of projects, from Sr. Photos to different videos. Having access to a drone has allowed me to expand my craft in a way that I previously couldn’t imagine.

Video Production

This is a tribute video I created for the funeral of my childhood babysitter/surrogate grandmother in July 2022.

This was the Final Project done for my Professional Video Techniques course. For the project, I interviewed my friend Ali Montez about her life living with Cystic Fibrosis.

This video was a project for my Professional Video Techniques class. We were tasked with creating a video around pictures we had. I chose to make mine be a video honoring my grandmother 10 years after she died.

In July of 2024, Miss Rebecca Gardner passed away. She was a beloved teacher from our area. I had the pleasure of attending her memorial service and recording it for those who were unable to attend to view later. I gathered photos of her from yearbooks throughout the years as well as physical photos of her to use as the intro, and then edited together the photos with the video shot at the service.

This is the video I edited of the Hempfield Area 50th Homecoming Celebration in September 2022.

I created this video to celebrate the 20th birthday of my younger brother. I started by gathering all the physical materials I wanted to include in the video. From there, I converted our old family home movies from cassette tapes to computer files and transformed all the physical photos to digital files on my computer. From there I edited everything together with music.

Photo Restoration

In 2020, I started digitizing old family photos. I wanted to make sure that these photos were preserved for future generations. As I did this, I noticed that many of the photos were in poor condition. Since then, I have been working hard in photoshop to restore them, and even turning some of the Black and White photos into color. Below are just a few examples.

Graphic & Interactive Design Capstone Final Project

For our final project in Capstone, we were tasked with making a design and adding it to 4 different items. A skateboard deck, a T-Shirt or Sweatshirt, a totebag, and a small item of our choice. Our designs were then printed and put on display in a “pop-up” art show on the 22nd and 23rd of March 2023.

My design was based off the 412 brand associated with Pittsburgh. I chose to do the area code where I grew up, 724. Bellow are the various versions of the designs, as well as some mockups of what the final designs would look like.

Digital Photo Editing Final

For the final project, we were tasked with using all the tools we learned throughout the semester to create a final picture. I chose to create photos out of Mr. Rogers sayings.

It’s A Beautiful Day In This Neighborhood

I Really Love Music

Motion Graphics

The Intro to Motion Graphics course taught us how to use Adobe After Effects. We learned many skills from how to animate a logo, to removing items from a video clip, and many more. Below are just a few examples of what we did in class.

For my final project I animated a logo I created for a friend’s Podcast.

American Art Midterm

We were tasked with creating a piece in the style of a specific art movement or Artist we had learned about so far in the semester. I chose to recreate the painting American Gothic by painter Grant Wood. I posed my parents in a way that I felt showed off a modern version of the original painting.

American Art Final

Our final project was similar to our Midterm. We were tasked with creating a piece in the style of a specific art movement or Artist we had learned about in the second half of the year. I chose to recreate Audrey Flack’s Marilyn. The original piece is a painting that looks like a memorial shrine to Marilyn Monroe. I chose to create mine as a photo rather than a painting. I used items that belonged to my grandparents and edited it to look like a painting.

Studio Photo Final

For our Final project, we were to come up with an idea, and convey that idea using skills we learned in the course. I chose to use different colors and what emotions they conveyed.

Studio Photo Project 4

This project we were tasked with recreating a photo provided by our professor. The first photo is the photo provided to me and the second is my recreation.

Manipulating Scenery

In this project, we took photos of different landscapes, buildings, etc. and changed aspects of them. One photo we changed Day to Night, another was adding stars and many others were changing the weather.

Extract Red

For this project, we took a photo, isolated red in the photo, and made the rest of the photo black and white.

Vinyl

All of these photographs are of vinyl decals I made and placed around the Music Department of the High School
